Cebu Normal University – Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (CNU-VSMMC) continues its dedication to nurturing well-prepared physicians for the nation. Since its establishment in 2021 under the Doktor Para sa Bayan Act, CNU has been steadfast in equipping medical students with the tools essential for their training and eventual professional practice.

Responding to the increasing student population, CNU has also expanded its infrastructure with newly constructed, spacious classrooms and laboratories located on the 6th and 7th floors of the Cancer Center Building at VSMMC. These facilities include dedicated spaces for Small-Group Discussion rooms, a state-of-the-art clinical skills and simulation center, and advanced laboratory testing facilities.

Moreover, the renovated classrooms now house specialized laboratory rooms tailored for anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology-parasitology, histology, and pathology studies, ensuring a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience for students.

In sync with the advancements in medical technology, CNU has invested in a suite of cutting-edge laboratory equipment. These additions include Virtual Anatomy models, sim lab simulators, maternal fetal birthing simulators, and a host of other innovative tools, empowering students with immersive and efficient learning resources.

Under the guidance of then Dean Dr. Ma. Socorro G. Manaloto and now OIC Dean Dr. Jarungchai S. Vatanagul, CNU-VSMMC envisions a medical school that not only imparts knowledge but also instills a commitment to serving the Filipino people with excellence.
