To give students a break from their daily school routines, the Cebu Normal University (CNU) conducts its first University Week dubbed as “Panagtapok 2024” this morning.
The gathering held at the University Center Stage aims to showcase talents and present the accomplishments and future activities of every student organization.
With the theme, “Rising Above Dimensions, Reflecting Rays of Diversified Colors,” the event also aims to unite students through a celebration of festive songs, music, and dances, among others.
Organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC), Student Regent Ella Nicole Mata shares that every student in CNU is “a vibrant color contributing to the masterpiece in our university.”
With the opening of the event, she emphasizes the importance of service for CNU.
She also added that “we need to radiate this love through our service, dedication in our studies, and our relationship as a community.”
For his part, the University President Dr. Daniel Ariaso, Sr., in his opening remarks, shares the importance of moving forward amidst diversity.
He also told students that “this is our time to rise above dimensions, reflecting the rays of lights, diversified colors, and opinions. Together, we celebrate the talents, creativity, dedication, and diversity that define our great university.”
On the other hand, Dr. Ariaso also gives a cash incentive to singer-composer Japheth Guion, a student from the Culture and Arts Education, for the composition of the ‘Golden Journey’ anthem released on October 7 during today’s Panagtapok.
Take your well-deserved rest, Normalites!
