Cebu Normal University (CNU) has recently organized a comprehensive training sessions for member enumerators from various Local Government Units, alongside other officials and personnel, in preparation for conducting a crucial needs assessment survey. The training was held on March 14, 2024, in the Municipalities of Alegria, Argao, and Catmon, where forthcoming campuses are slated to be established.                             

The needs assessment survey plays a pivotal role in understanding both the requirements of the students and the broader community prior to commencing the feasibility study. Additionally, the survey aims to identify programs to be offered, taking into account the financial and human resources of the LGU, before the identified programs will be introduced to the public.

The coordinated training effort was led by Dr. Ma. Rosita Hernani, Director for Research and Development and Publications. Dr. Hernani joined forces with Mr. Jose Rey Ocat, Educational Research Assistant, and Dr. Blanca Alejandro, esteemed faculty member, for the training in the Municipality of Alegria.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mario Marababol, Education Program Specialist II, took charge of the training in Argao, alongside faculty members  Mr. Ricardo Narandan, Ms. Leigh Ann Fernandez, Mr. Eric Remoroza, and Educational Research Assistant Mr. Steven Rabago. Similarly, Mr. Dexter Ontoy, Education Program Specialist II, led the training group in Catmon, supported by faculty members Mr. Beejay Olitres, Mr. Gibson Maglasang, and Mr. Karl Patrick Casas.

With CNU, quality higher education is warranted.
