Cebu Normal University (CNU) faculty members across colleges attend the three-day training on, “Empowering Creativity: Research Training Workshop for Creative Works and Performing Arts” at a hotel in Cebu City starting this day.

Organized by the Research, Development, and Publications (RDP) office, the workshop aims to equip faculty members with the opportunities in the field of creative works, especially those that involve communities.

Dr. Lelani Dapat, the RDP director, encourages faculty members to “take the opportunity to learn and discover new techniques” for them to produce research that integrates culture, arts, music, and tradition.

The resource person, Dr. Ruth Pison of the University of the Philippines (UP), centers her day 1 discussion on the elements of a critical essay, focusing on integrating narratives from various communities into academic research.

Faculty members also present their research papers for critique and evaluation with the rest of the audience.
