In a bid to improve the STEM education and to empower public educators in Central Visayas, Cebu Normal University (CNU) and Department of Education-7 sign a three-year agreement for a training-workshop this afternoon.
 
In this project “Mathematical and Computational Science Research: Empowering Supervisor, School Heads, and Coaches in DepEd RVII (MCSR:EC-DepEd RVII,” CNU will conduct the training workshops to the project beneficiaries in cyclical recurring three phases with different areas of targets.
 
Among the targets include research and writing, research design, statistical techniques, mathematical investigation, and math research, among others.
 
A separate pool of experts from program team-training, program monitoring, research and evaluation, and technical panel of evaluators for competition-related event were also created to oversee and implement the project.
 
This project is an extension program of CNU aimed at forging partnerships between its faculty and non-faculty members to collectively address issues on education, health, environment, livelihood, and peace that are essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Philippine Development Plan 2028.
 
Present during the MOA signing are the DepEd-7 Regional Director Dr. Salustiano Jimenez and CNU President Dr. Daniel Ariaso Sr. along with the administrative officials and unit heads.
