LATEST | CNU explores pact with Taiwan university, DepEd Lapu-Lapu City
 
The Cebu Normal University (CNU), the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Lapu-Lapu City, and Shu-Te University (STU) of Taiwan convene for an exploratory meeting today at the Office for Internationalization.
 
The meeting aims to explore potential collaborations, particularly STU’s offshore master’s degree program designed for public school teachers.
 
Shu-Te University, an esteemed partner of DepEd Lapu-Lapu City Division and the City Government of Lapu-Lapu, expresses its commitment to supporting educational advancement in the country by discussing collaborative opportunities, such as academic and cultural exchanges for students and faculty, as well as partnerships related to CNU’s College of Informatics.
This initiative aligns with CNU’s ongoing modernization projects and its vision to evolve into a SMART campus.
 
Vice President for Academic Affairs and Internationalization Dr. Joseph Elvir Tubilan, Dean of the College of Teacher Education Dr. Venus Cortes, and Director for Internationalization Dr. Janet Mananay represent CNU in the meeting.
 
The meeting is also joined by representatives from the DepEd Lapu-Lapu City led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Marilyn Andales, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ronald Ferrer, and Education Program Specialist II for Social Mobilization and Networking Mr. Victor Recana III.
 
On the other hand, Shu-Te University Senior Adviser Mr. Alan YeinVice, President and Dean of the College of Design Dr. Chung-Ho Su, Deputy Section Chief in the Office of International Affairs Ms. Wan-Ching Huang, and Deputy Section Chief of the International Teaching and Language Center Prof. Mar Onell Booc also grace the meeting.
 
The meeting marks another significant step in strengthening international partnerships and enhancing educational opportunities.
