Food production in Adapted Communities

From farm to table, the Cebu Normal University places great importance on combating hunger. Food production is both researched and implemented in different communities. Examples include the following projects: Root Crop Production (Balamban); Composting and Backyard Gardening (Polpogan); Feeding Program (Brgy. Cambuhawe); Cooking of Calamansi-Banana Ketchup Pork Marinade – Utility Model; and many more.

Not only for communities but the university has empowered its individuals with various programs for its students. Trainings and seminars such as the “𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒔: 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆” puts emphasis on resourcefulness and sustainability as an approach to cuisine

Not only for communities but the university has empowered its individuals with various programs for its students. Trainings and seminars such as the “𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒔: 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 CNU is also always ready to provide help and relief to its community even during the pandemic. Educators utilized 3D printers in the university to make face shields donated to health workers and medical frontliners in the city. Charity works are also worth noting such as Project Balay Samaritano wherein the basic needs of street children and adults were provided.
