Cebu Normal University commits itself to the standards and good practices of preservation and conservation of natural resources for sustainability.
CNU and SDGs
We at Cebu Normal University (CNU) prioritize instruction, research, community extension programs, and operations that align with all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to reflect its commitment to a holistic approach toward sustainable development. Through collaborative efforts, we strive to empower our teaching and non-teaching personnel, students, and the local community to become change agents in promoting social, economic, and environmental sustainability. With the aim of making a positive impact on society, CNU is fully committed to combating these challenges, not just for its immediate benefit but for future generations. At CNU, remarkable feats begin and are achieved by taking small, concrete steps—together, for a better world for all.

We, the Administrators, Teaching, Non-Teaching personnel and the rest of Cebu Normal University, commit to adhere to the principles, practices, and responsible actions toward the realization/achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
With this, we wish to express our intention to take an active part in the following:
- recognizing the current enormous social, economic, and environmental challenges
- affirming that future development must be socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable
- upholding the Sustainable Development Goals agenda towards 2023 sustainable development
- emphasizing the vital role of the university in achieving a sustainable future through teaching, research, community extension, and operations
- applying the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals in research undertakings leading to solutions for sustainable development challenges
- supporting students with educational opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development
- contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals by ensuring our campuses and major programs are environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive
Through resilient synergy, we also commit to working on strengthening the initiatives toward the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
