On October 24, 2025, the proponents of the extension project entitled “PISI PANGINABUHI: Lampakanay Handicraft Livelihood Skills Training for Women in Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu” continued their activity at Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The session began with the preliminaries led by the project proponent, Mrs. Mary Jane Rieta, followed by a discussion on the use of lampakanay as material for Christmas décor, facilitated by the resource person, Dr. Jannet Bondad.

After the discussion, participants were divided into four groups for the skills training. The second-year BTLEd students guided the participants in creating handcrafted Christmas décor bells for Christmas trees using lampakanay. The participants showed enthusiasm, hard work, and diligence, successfully producing the required outputs for the day’s activity.
