This extension aims to equip teachers of the Talisay City National High School with fundamental skills in journalism. Recognizing the importance of media literacy and effective communication skills in today’s world, this workshop series will focus on both written and oral forms of communication, broadcasting, and media studies. The Department of Communication and Media Studies (DCMS) faculty members will serve as extensionists, sharing their expertise to cultivate a new generation of informed and skilled journalists among high school teachers.

The activity was led by Project Leader Dr. Michelle Tubilan, with the support of project members Ms. Catherine Arriesgado, Mr. Kyle Lester Paes, and Dr. Joseph Elvir Tubilan.

The online session served as a venue to sustain engagement with the partner school and to further equip participating teachers with essential journalism knowledge and skills. Despite the virtual modality, the activity was effectively implemented, demonstrating the project team’s adaptability and commitment to ensuring the continuity and quality of extension services.
