The I-SHINE strategy for 2024-2030 aims to boost Internationalization at Cebu Normal University by focusing on five pillars, each with its own sets of priority initiatives: (1) Strategic Partnerships, (2) Holistic Development, (3) Inclusive & Innovative Global Learning, (4) National & Global Competitiveness, and (5) Excellence in Governance, Engagement, and Impact. These pillars are anchored on the following foundations: the Bagong Pilipinas vision, the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028, AmBisyon Nation 2040, ASEAN Integration, and the CHED A.C.H.I.E.V.E. Agenda, with adherence to the policy framework on the internationalization of Philippine Higher Education (CMO No. 55 s. 2016). The pillars are visually represented through the five points of the I-SHINE star:
The CNU Internationalization Ambassadors Organization (CNU-IAO) is established to serve as a
vital extension of the Office for Internationalization, empowering students to actively participate
in and contribute to the university’s internationalization efforts. Rooted in the concepts of
internationalization and global citizenship, the CNU-IAO aims to cultivate globally minded leaders
who can represent the university in various international settings while fostering a welcoming
environment for foreign partners and visitors.
