        DR. CARLOU JOHN S. LETIGIO

        LITO L. DIONES is a passionate and a family-oriented person. The Director of Cultural and Sports Development of Cebu Normal University, adviser for the CNU Drama Society and former IPRO Coordinator. He is a professor both in the undergraduate and graduate schools in Cebu Normal University, handling Literature, Research, Communication and Theater subjects. He has been in the teaching profession for more or less 30 years and half of it was spent in a private school in Cebu City, Philippine Christian Gospel School. With his years of experience in Cebu Normal University, he handled the Theater and Communication subjects for 10 years which led to write his first book co-authored by other colleagues titled Speech and Theater Arts. He acquired his undergraduate education in Silliman University in Dumaguete City and both his masters and doctorate degrees were finished at Cebu Normal University. Sir Bem, as he is fondly called by his students, is an educator, researcher, performer, singer, director of shows and play and an artist.

      DR. CRISTINA B. CORCINO

      A PROMINENT ACADEMIC RESEARCHER, EDUCATOR

      Dr. Cristina B. Corcino is an accomplished mathematician and academic leader, currently serving as a Professor of Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics of Cebu Normal University, Cebu City, Philippines. She holds the esteemed position of Director of the Research Institute for Computational Mathematics and Physics (RICMP) at the same university. Additionally, Dr. Corcino has recently assumed the role of Dean of the College of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Sciences.

      With an illustrious academic journey, she previously served as a Professor of Mathematics at Mindanao State University until 2010 and later as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Mathematics in UP Diliman from 2012 to 2014. She earned her PhD in Mathematics from UP Diliman, Quezon City, in 1999.

      Dr. Corcino is internationally recognized for her significant contributions to mathematical research. She has been awarded various travel grants, including the CHED Travel grant to the US in 2011, NANUM 2014 travel grant for the International Congress of Mathematicians in Seoul, South Korea, and the CHED travel grant in 2016 for a paper presentation at the International Conference of Diophantine Analysis and Related Topics in Wuhan University, China.

      A prolific researcher, Dr. Corcino has authored numerous impactful publications in reputable journals, such as Advances in Mathematical Physics, the Journal of Physics Communication, and the Asian-European Journal of Mathematics. Her research encompasses diverse topics, including three-parameter entropy, generalizations of the Lambert W function, and asymptotic approximations of special polynomials.

      In 2019 to 2023 she published an impressive 43 articles, contributing to a total of 70 publications in international refereed journals, including those indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. As of the latest update, her Google Scholar h-index is 10, i10 index is 12, with a total of 365 citations.

      Dr. Corcino has received several accolades for her outstanding contributions, including being cited as one of the top 150 Filipino scientists in 2015 by Cybermetrics Lab. She has been honored with the Research Excellence Award and Presidential Citations from Cebu Normal University for her publications in internationally recognized journals.

      Acknowledged for her leadership, Dr. Corcino served as the Director of the Summer Upgrading Program for College Mathematics Teachers (SUPCOM 2016) organized by the Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP). She held the position of Treasurer/Board Member of MSP Cebu Chapter until 2021 and currently serves as the Vice President of MSP Region VII.

      Since 2017, Dr. Corcino has been designated as the Science Research Chair of the College of Arts and Sciences at Cebu Normal University. Notably, she was selected among the top twelve women mathematicians in the Philippines based on h-index to attend the Southeast Asian Women Mathematicians Meeting (SEAWMM 2021).

      Her commitment to excellence in research and education has earned her recognition in various forums, including being acknowledged among the notables in the Institutes for Research, Innovation and Scholarship (IRIS) Leadership Legacy Forum in July 2021.   The 2021 IRIS Leadership Legacy Forums by the IRIS and Elsevier provided a common ground for strategic thinking and reflection on frontier-seeking leadership in universities and scientific research institutions.

      Continuing to make significant strides in the field, Dr. Cristina B. Corcino remains a prominent figure in the realm of mathematics, research, and academic leadership.
