The culminating activity of “Accelerating Literacy through Minds on Wheels: A Collaborative Reading Project” was held on March 19, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, marking the successful completion of the program’s eight guided reading sessions. Throughout the implementation, learners were introduced to ten new vocabulary words in every session, resulting in a total of eighty vocabulary words learned. The culminating activity served as an opportunity to celebrate the learners’ accomplishments, reflect on their progress, and recognize the collective efforts of everyone involved in the project.

The activity featured a presentation of the project’s accomplishments and highlights, followed by a sharing session entitled “Our Learning Journey,” where learners had the opportunity to talk about their experiences, challenges, and learning gains throughout the program. Tutors also shared their reflections on the implementation, while stakeholders expressed their continued support for the project. The program further recognized the dedication and efforts of the learners, tutors, and project proponents through the awarding of certificates.

More than simply marking the end of the reading sessions, the culminating activity became a meaningful celebration of learning, growth, and collaboration. It highlighted the learners’ progress while recognizing the important contributions of tutors and stakeholders in making the project possible. It also strengthened partnerships and affirmed the shared commitment of the project proponents and stakeholders to continue supporting literacy development and creating meaningful learning opportunities for the learners.
