Cebu Normal University (CNU) reinforced its commitment to unified, credible, and strategic institutional communication as key personnel from its campuses and offices completed the University Branding Orientation and Brand Manual Consultation.
Organized by the University’s Information Unit (IU), the capability-building initiative held on July 20, 21, and 23 equipped designated personnel and official student organization representatives with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold the CNU brand and ensure consistency across all official communication and promotional platforms.

The orientation also strengthened participants’ capacity to communicate the university’s programs and initiatives through timely, accurate, and transparent photos and stories published on CNU’s official communication channels.
Sessions covered key areas of institutional brand management, including safeguarding and strengthening the CNU brand, the University’s Visual Identity System, Brand Governance, and the approval process for communication materials.
A key highlight of the program was the Brand Manual Consultation, where participants shared recommendations and insights that will help shape the university’s first-ever Brand Manual, a landmark initiative that will serve as the foundation for consistent branding and communication across the institution.

With CNU’s continued expansion through its extension campus in Catmon, and external campuses in Balamban and Medellin, representatives also received guidance on the proper application of the university’s brand identity to ensure consistency across their respective communication platforms, including official Facebook pages.
Personnel from the new extension campuses in Argao and Alegria will also soon undergo the same capacity-building program.
Anchored on the goal of sustaining One CNU Voice, the training also featured sessions on visual storytelling, basic photography, effective caption writing, social media content creation, storytelling techniques, and the University’s writing style.

Participants were likewise introduced to the Guide to Responsible Digital Communication, emphasizing the importance of producing content that is accurate, ethical, timely, and responsive to stakeholders’ information needs.
The sessions were facilitated by IU outgoing Director Dr. Lelani Dapat, together with IU personnel Kristine Quintas, Christopher Mahilum Jr., Robert Medida, John Laurence Villaflor, and Charlaine Louie Berondo.
Padayon, CNU!
