Today, the CNU Balamban community once again lived out its commitment to transformative education through its extension program, Bia: Baba Baya. The day’s session focused on strengthening the reading foundations of our young learners by engaging them in phonics activities and chorus reading. These strategies not only nurtured word recognition and fluency but also fostered confidence and joy in reading which are essential steps in guiding non-readers toward becoming independent learners.

One of the highlights of the day was the collaborative spirit of the Educator’s Council of CNU Balamban. The council members actively worked together to prepare and produce instructional materials tailored to the needs of the learners. From visual aids to reading cards, every material was thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and support comprehension. This collective effort reflects not only the educators’ dedication but also their passion for ensuring that every learner receives meaningful and accessible instruction.

The session embodied the values of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for all. By equipping learners with fundamental reading skills and creating a supportive environment, Bia: Baba Baya contributes to breaking barriers in literacy and empowering children to pursue lifelong learning.

The success of today’s activities demonstrates that when educators unite with a shared purpose, learning becomes a movement of hope, empowerment, and transformation. The journey of Bia: Baba Baya continues to inspire, reminding us that every effort invested in a child’s literacy is an investment in a brighter and more sustainable future.
