The day at CNU-Medellin Campus began with a serene and reverent holy mass at 8:00 a.m., fostering a sense of tranquility and spiritual reflection among the students, faculty, and staff. The soft morning light illuminated the campus, casting a contemplative ambiance over the surroundings.
At 10:00 a.m., the campus came alive with the grand and joyous entrance of faculty, staff, and students from different year levels and degree program, creating a vibrant atmosphere of inclusion and excitement. The air was filled with the sounds of laughter, enthusiastic conversation, and the jovial greetings of new and familiar faces. Each person’s unique energy and anticipation added to the palpable sense of community and togetherness, setting the stage for a memorable day ahead.
Dr. Chrysler M. Cabusa, the esteemed Dean of Cebu Normal University-Medellin, took center stage and warmly addressed the Normalites, exuding a sense of enthusiasm and encouragement. His words resonated with optimism and a shared vision, reflecting the values and aspirations of the university community. As he spoke, his warmth and genuine care for the students and their academic journey echoed through the gathering, leaving a profound and lasting impression on all those present.
Adding to the day’s intrigue, the SSC officers orchestrated a thrilling surprise for the incoming freshmen with the “Normalite’s Hunt,” an engaging and interactive activity that aimed to familiarize the new students with their surroundings and peers. Amidst laughter and friendly banter, a lucky freshman was selected and presented with a token of welcome, marking the beginning of their exciting journey at the university.
As the day unfolded, the first glimpses of camaraderie, intellectual curiosity, and the promise of new experiences emerged, setting the stage for a promising and auspicious beginning for all.
