CNU, Skyline University College forge ‘historic’ partnership
Â
The Cebu Normal University (CNU) and Skyline University College (SUC) of the United Arab Emirates marked a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during a virtual ceremony conducted via Microsoft Teams on September 17, 2024.
Â
Establishing formal ties with SUC marks CNU’s first partnership in the Middle East, a move that broadens the university’s global network and strengthens its presence in the region.
Â
The event was honored by the presence of the Honorable Ambassador of the Philippines to the U.A.E., Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, who delivered an inspiring message about the importance of fostering academic and cultural connections between the two nations.
Â
Representing CNU was Dr. Daniel A. Ariaso, Sr., the University President, along with members of the Administrative Council. On the other hand, SUC was represented by its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammad In’airat, alongside Mr. Mohammad Rasheed Khalid, Head of Corporate Affairs, as well as the Deans of SUC’s School of Business and School of Computing and fellow faculty members.
Â
This partnership promises opportunities for joint research, academic and cultural exchanges, and other collaborative endeavors.
Â
In their closing remarks, both Dr. Ariaso and Prof. In’airat emphasized the potential of the partnership to elevate the visibility and reputation of both institutions while also highlighting its significant contribution to society through the development of globally aware students.
Â
This initiative aligns with CNU’s strategic goal of becoming a globally recognized institution and sets the stage for future collaborations in the Middle East and beyond.
