The top officials of the Cebu Normal University (CNU) take part in the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s High-Level Meeting today in a hotel in Mandaue City.

Present official are CNU President Dr. Daniel A. Ariaso Sr., Vice President for Research, Publication, Innovation, Commercialization and Extension (VP- PRICE) Dr. Joseph Tubilan, and Vice President for Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Internationalization and Lifelong Learning (VP-SNECEILL).

The event focuses on the development of micro-credential courses and ladderized diploma programs in the field of advanced manufacturing and semiconductors.

The implementation of the Philippine Credit Transfer System (PCTS) and the alignment of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with higher education pathways are also tackled in the meeting.

Key presentations include updates on RA 10647 or the Ladderized Education Act and a discussion on proposed action plans led by TESDA-7 Director Gamaliel Vicente Jr., with insights from Dr. Amelia Biglete, president of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation and former CHED director.

CNU’s active participation underscores its commitment to strengthening industry-academic linkages and aligning its programs with national development goals.
