Faculty members from across colleges and campuses of Cebu Normal University undergo training to enhance their skills in modern research methodologies.
The Institute for Research in Innovative Instructional Delivery (IRIID) initiates the three-day training workshop titled “Enhancing Research Proficiency with AI Tools and Research Analytics.”
The event, held from September 25-27 at CNU’s Tandang Sora Hall, is spearheaded by Director Dr. Monique Cordova along with Division Chairs Mr. Angelito Cabanilla, Dr. Gino Sumalinog, and Dr. Marchee Picardal.
The program focuses on equipping participants with practical knowledge in structural equation modeling, meta-synthesis, and meta-analysis for research.
Dr. Cristina Corcino, Vice President for Research, Publication, Innovation, and Extension, in her opening remarks on Wednesday, encouraged participants to embrace innovative research tools like artificial intelligence, stating that such advancements will pave the way for better research outcomes and cultivate a culture of
innovation within the institution.
The program includes hands-on workshops facilitated by Dr. Sylvester Cortes, the Director for DOST Project STRAND-N at Cebu Technological University, who brings a wealth of experience in science education, teacher training, and research leadership to the sessions.
His involvement ensures that participants gain practical experience with the methods and tools discussed.
By the end of the three-day training, participants are expected to have developed research projects ready for publication, showcasing IRIID’s dedication to advancing research excellence and equipping faculty members with tools for success in an evolving academic environment.
