For her expertise and leadership in innovation-driven education, Dr. Janet Mananay, Cebu Normal University’s vice president for Special Needs, Early Childhood, Internationalization and Lifelong Learning, was appointed as Certified Mentor of World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).
Dr. Mananay was selected by WURI Foundation in recognition of her professional competence, academic leadership, and strong potential to contribute to WURI’s global mission of advancing innovation, impact, and relevance in higher education.
“This appointment is granted in recognition of your expertise, and your strong potential to contribute meaningfully to the mission and ongoing activities of WURI,” said Dr. Dong-Sung Cho, chair of the WURI Board of Directors.
As a Certified WURI Mentor, Dr. Mananay will be responsible for mentoring higher education institutions, faculty members, and stakeholders on best practices in innovation-focused academic initiatives.
Her role includes supporting institutional development, strengthening international collaboration, and promoting educational strategies that emphasize real-world impact, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.
Certified mentors play a critical role in guiding institutions to align their programs and initiatives with WURI’s core values and evaluation framework.
Dr. Mananay’s appointment brings distinction to the University and reinforces its commitment to excellence, innovation, and global engagement.
