LOOK | CNU prexy signs MOA on secondment for new CHED-7 head
In a bid to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and leadership development within government agencies, Cebu Normal University (CNU) President Dr. Daniel Ariaso, Sr. signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the “Secondment of Dr. Filomena Dayagbil to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Regional Office VII),” at the Office of the University President this afternoon.
The MOA, approving the secondment of Dr. Dayagbil comes after her appointment as Regional Director of CHED Region VII starting Monday, November 24.
The secondment period, as approved by the Board of Regents, is until November 16, 2028.
As a full-fledged University Professor and former CNU president, the MOA on Dr. Dayagbil’s secondment provides for strengthening regional leadership and governance, providing inputs for efficient regional program implementation, and managing and supervising the overall operations of CHED RO VII.
The MOA signed also covers her role in enhancing program implementation and promoting institutional coordination and partnerships between CHED Regional Offices, CHED Central Office, other national government agencies, local government units (LGUs), higher education institutions (HEIs), and other stakeholders, fostering synergy in achieving CHED’s mandates.
The signing was attended by the Vice President for Administration Dr. Allan Roy Elnar, OIC Chief Administrative Officer for Finance Atty. Roche Ocampo, HRMO III Sheena Macalam, and University Board Secretary Dr. Jeson Bustamante.
The appointment of Dr. Dayagbil, along with the University’s secondment, reflects a shared commitment to promoting quality education. Her new role underscores the confidence entrusted to her leadership, which is expected to further strengthen CHED Region VII’s initiatives and foster meaningful reforms in higher education.
