LOOK | CNU, Netherlands-based university seal ties for stronger academic, research, cultural exchange
 
Cebu Normal University (CNU) marked another milestone in its pursuit of global academic excellence as it formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, one of the Netherlands’ leading institutions for higher education.
 
The agreement lays the groundwork for a robust partnership aimed at fostering academic and cultural exchange, collaborative research, and international cooperation.
 
This collaboration aligns with CNUs strategic goal of becoming a leading institution in Southeast Asia, and stands a testament to the power of international partnership in shaping future-ready learners, educators and staff.
 
The signing was attended by top officials from both universities during the CNU Administrative Council Meeting at the Idea and Knowledge Center today. Representing CNU was its President, Dr. Daniel Ariaso, Sr., while Saxion University was represented by Henny Oude Maatman, lead of its International Affairs for Social Education Studies. Saxion’s lead of International Affairs for Education, Sander Kamphuis, was also present.
 
The MoU is valid for a period of four years, effectively immediately upon signing.
 
On the other hand, a focused meeting was also conducted at the Library Conference Room alongside Dr. Laurence Garcia, College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences dean, and Dr. Reynaldo Inocian, newly-designated dean of the College of Teacher Education.
 
Among the collaborative activities discussed with Saxion representatives were internship abroad, student mobility program (global citizenship course for six months, and virtual lectures and research collaborations, among others.

The collaborative activities were facilitated by the university’s Office for Internationalization headed by its Director, Dr. Feleeh Enanoza.
