LOOK | CNU finalizes faculty training program for ODeL application, implementation
Cebu Normal University (CNU) is set to conduct a 100-hour faculty training program in preparations for the implementation of Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL).
The training is designed to equip faculty members with the pedagogical and technological skills required for effective distance education in accordance with CHED’s quality assurance standards.
CNU President Dr. Daniel Ariaso Sr. and Vice President for SNECEILL Dr. Venus Cortes recently met with Dr. Charisse Reyes, Dean of the Faculty of Open Distance Education at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), to conclude the planning of the training initiative.
The program is a significant component of CNU’s forthcoming application to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), as the university positions itself to deliver flexible, accessible, and high-quality education through ODeL.
This development underscores CNU’s commitment to academic innovation and inclusive learning, paving the way for expanded educational opportunities across the region and beyond.
