Cebu Normal University (CNU) continues to strengthen responsive teacher education as selected faculty members participate in a three-day writeshop on Reproductive Health Education for Adolescents (RHEA) curriculum integration at a hotel in Cordova, Cebu, beginning October 6, 2026.
Held in partnership with the Commission on Population and Development (CPD), the writeshop focuses on developing instructional modules that will support the integration of age-appropriate, evidence-informed, and contextually relevant reproductive health education into teacher education programs.
The initiative aims to equip future educators with the knowledge, competencies, and pedagogical approaches needed to address adolescent reproductive health and development concerns in educational settings.
Beyond health awareness, the undertaking highlights the role of teacher education in promoting informed decision-making, responsible behavior, adolescent well-being, and an understanding of the links between population dynamics and sustainable development.

Through the CNU–CPD partnership, the university continues to strengthen curriculum relevance, develop responsive learning resources, and prepare future teachers to better respond to the developmental needs and realities of Filipino adolescents.
The ongoing writeshop marks another step in CNU’s efforts to advance innovation in teacher education and contribute to the holistic development and well-being of the next generation.
Padayon, CNU!
