CNU CBPSME scholars attend DOST Leadership Camp

Twenty-four Cebu Normal University scholars under the Capacity Building Program in Science and Mathematics Education (CBPSME) take part in the three-day Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) Scholars Leadership Camp 2024.

The camp, which kicks off today at a hotel in Boracay, aims to hone the leadership and communication skills of DOST scholars, equipping them with the values and competencies necessary to excel as future leaders in their fields.

Key topics also include the core values of a DOST-SEI scholar, Effective Communication Skills, Leadership Skills for Scholars, and The Scientist as a Filipino Patriot, among others. The discussions bank on the integral role of leadership and patriotism in scientific innovation and nation-building.

The DOST-SEI Scholars Leadership Camp 2024 serves as a testament to the government’s commitment to developing young scientists and empowering them to lead with integrity, innovation, and a deep sense of patriotism.

Through this initiative, DOST continues to shape the next generation of Filipino scientists to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Padayon, CNU!
