The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) recognizes Cebu Normal University (CNU) for its significant contribution in the implementation of the Public Procurement Specialist Course, in partnership with the Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Group (GPPB – TSO). The program has been offered at CNU since 2018.

The Public Procurement Specialist Course is a program offered to individuals whose work is directly related to supply, procurement, administration, budgeting, and accounting, as well as those engaged in the Procurement Technical Working Group, including project managers, supervisors, and implementors, among others.

The program certifies and professionalizes procurement specialists and practitioners in the public and private sectors who hold the aforementioned roles. CNU’s commitment to professionalizing public procurement and its impact in the field mark a significant milestone in promoting public service and good governance.

DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, together with Atty. Rowena Candice Ruiz, Executive Director V of GPPB-TSO, presented the certificate of appreciation to CNU President Dr. Daniel Ariaso, accompanied by Dr. Joseph Elvir Tubilan, Vice-President for Administration, Finance, and External Affairs.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Government Procurement Policy Board Building in Diliman, Quezon City, on March 21, 2024, in line with World Sustainable Procurement Day.

The Public Procurement Specialist Certification Course will be offered in CNU soon.
