Ian Dale B. Rios

Ian Dale B. Rios is a Cebu-based social science field researcher. He earned his BA in Anthropology, majoring in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Management, from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Philippines. He also earned his MA in Anthropology at the same university. He has engagements in archaeological field schools, social and anthropological research, outdoor adventures, environmental conservation projects in the Philippines, and adventure-based youth education programs in Hong Kong. His works radiate from his desire to document humanity’s cultural heritage and attachment to the natural world. He now strives as an assistant professor at the College of Culture, Arts, and Sports at Cebu Normal University – to converge conservation, culture, and nature through good coffee, people, and adventure.
