Dr. Carlou John S. Letigio, current resident of Balamban, Cebu, has earned the following degrees; Doctor of Philosophy major in Technology Management (Ph.D. TM) – Cebu Technological University-Main Campus, Master of Science in Industrial Technology (MSIT) in the same campus, finished academic requirements for Master in Information Technology (MIT) in the University of San Jose – Recoletos (USJ-R) in 2014 and a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Information of Computer Science in the University of Cebu. He has been in the service of Cebu Normal University for 13 years starting 2009 to the present.
His administrative experience covers that of having been the Campus Director of CNU-Medellin Campus from June 2015 – July 2017.
As a researcher, he has contributed to the development and promotion of ICT in the country and presented at several international and national conferences. His publications include instructional laboratory, training guide, online e-resources, and lecture manuals adding up to his intellectual property licenses on Industrial Designs (IDs) and Utility Models (Ums). He is also a member of the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) at California State University, as well as a peer reviewer of instructional design materials under Information Technology and ICT Literary. Moreover, he is a recipient of the Texas International Educational Consortium (TIEC) in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) from 2020 – 2021.
Aside from his research contributions, he was also granted a lifetime status as a Trainer/Consultant/Facilitator by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Cebu Provincial Office and certified as a National TVET Trainer Level 1 in Computer Systems Servicing NC II by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Dr. Letigio’s competence/experience in technology management in the country and abroad are truly advantageous, especially in Cebu Normal University which was founded with a strong caliber IT infrastructure and systems in the techno era. His milestones and achievements contribute not just to the administration but also to the academe.Â
He holds the academic rank of Associate Professor V, teaching in the CNU-Main Campus for both undergraduate and graduate school handling Computer and Professional courses and other assigned subjects in the College of Law, Public Governance and Safety (CLPGS).
His success comes from his ability to engage with the teachers, staff, and students in several creative endeavors that teach various skills, while also incorporating the proven time-tested methods. In addition to his other accomplishments, he was honored with five (5) Presidential Citations from CNU spanning the years from 2019 – 2022.Â
Currently, he holds the positions as the Director of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), Office-in-Charge Head – Human Resource Management Unit (HRMU), Supervising Officer, Learning Resource Center / Learning Center, Program Chairperson – Master of Science in Library Information Science (MLIS), and serves as the Extension Chairperson of the College Law, Public Governance and Safety (CLPGS).
