The dean of the Cebu Normal University–Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (CNU-VSMMC) College of Medicine recently took center stage at an international medical training in Hong Kong, sharing insights on the intersection of neurology and mental wellness.

Dr. Jarungchai Vatanagul, a neurologist, participated as a guest speaker at the EXOMIND Training Workshop and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) Certification Program, a gathering designed to advance clinical integration in neuromodulation.

His lecture, “Neurology and Mind Matters: Bridging Neurology and Mental Wellness in Clinical Practice,” explored the critical link between neurological health and mental well-being, offering practical strategies for clinicians in diverse settings.

The event from May 25 to 27 attracted medical practitioners and wellness professionals from nine countries, including the Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, the Czech Republic, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Hosted by BTL Medical HK in partnership with the Hong Kong Institute of Neuromodulation, the program offered a unique platform for knowledge exchange and hands-on learning in cutting-edge neurological therapies.

With his participation, CNU-VSMMC continues to highlight its commitment to fostering advanced medical education and contributing to global health knowledge.
