LOOK | CNU, BuCor Leyte ink pact for extension project

The Cebu Normal University (CNU) through its extension and services unit is set to capacitate Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Leyte Regional Prison.

The initiative is dubbed as Project ALPAS or Alang sa Pagbag-o ug Serbisyo, CNU’s tri-fold intervention on mental health, livelihood, and digital literacy synergy program that focuses on reformation and skills training of PDLs.

This came after the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between CNU and BuCor in Abuyog, Southern Leyte on August 6.

The signing of the agreement was attended by key personnel of BuCor C/SInsp Nancy Pun-ad along with the Chief of the Learning and Development Section CTO 3 Flordeliza Ablanque.

Representing CNU were University President Dr. Daniel Ariaso Sr.; Vice President for Research, Publications, Innovation, Commercialization, and Extension, Dr. Joseph Elvir Tubilan; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Meshel Balijon; Director for Extension Services, Dr. Laarne Pontillas; Assistant Quality Assurance Coordinator of CPGSS, Dr. Janrey Colmo; and Executive Assistant, Jaira Marie Soliva.
