As part of the university’s efforts in sustaining excellence across key areas, Cebu Normal University (CNU) administrative officials and stakeholders convened at the Samuel McClintock Hall for a Stakeholders’ Forum this morning.
This comes as the University reviews its accomplishments for 2026 and prepares for its 2028 performance targets.

Among the highlights of the forum was the expert review of CNU’s strategic roadmap in response to the RECOVERY Framework and the University’s vision for the next four years.
Led by De La Salle University Institute of Governance Professor and Senior Fellow Dr. Eddie Nuque, the expert review assessed the University’s position across research, extension, and instruction, as well as how its current initiatives could translate into sustained excellence.

University Campus Director Dr. Rodin Paspasan, for his part, underscored the importance of unity among stakeholders in ensuring a shared and sustainable direction for the University.
“The future of our university will not be shaped by intention alone but by the decisions we make, the responsibility we uphold, and the action we take together,” he said.
Moreover, the University’s vice presidents presented their interim reports on updates covering administration and finance; research, extension, and publications; as well as the University’s milestones across academic programs.
This comes as the University addresses financial and facilities constraints while delivering quality education across its colleges and campuses.
With the current status on facilities, Planning Officer III Ar. Jodl-Job Dabon also presented the proposed investment plan and revision of the Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP)to ensure that infrastructure development aligns with the University’s priorities and available resources.

Urging strengthened collaboration, SUC President III Dr. Laurence Garcia urged attendees to participate in decision-making, emphasizing the importance of collective effort.
“The future we envision cannot be built by the President alone,” he said.
“It requires the participation of every college, office, student organization, alumni group, government agency, community, and partner who has at stake in the future of CNU,” he added.
Through the forum, CNU reinforces its commitment to collaborative governance, ensuring that the university’s strategic roadmap translates into concrete actions and measurable outcomes in its continuing pursuit of excellence.
Padayon, CNU!
