Dr. Phung initially corresponded through Dr. Maricel Rivera, the IZN Chair of the CNU Medellin Campus. They both met at the International Multidisciplinary Research Conference (IMRC) at Leyte Normal University last year. After the meeting, Dr. Phung was taken on a campus tour.
