Cebu Normal University’s student leaders, together with their SSC adviser, Dr. Janet Mananay, had the opportunity of attending the OGPinas event on February 21, 2024, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City. OGPinas is a national advocacy initiative that promotes public participation and improves engagement between the government and non-government sectors through collaborations and partnerships.
Members of civil society organizations, state universities and colleges, local governments, and other community representatives attended the event. During the ceremony, the PH-OGP presented its 6th National Action Plan, which was met with enthusiasm.
Furthermore, an open forum was held in which attendees may ask for clarification, express their concerns, and engage in an open discourse about the community’s most important issues. It provided a wonderful opportunity for guests to network and interact with government authorities.
The Department of Budget and Management Secretary, Amenah F. Pangandaman, attended the ceremony and shared warm words of perseverance and inspiration with the participants. Overall, the CNU student leaders and Dr. Janet Mananay gained vital knowledge, participated in significant debates, and exchanged ideas with members of the community.
