On February 14, 2024, Congresswoman Janice Z. Salimbangon donated educational aid to two Cebuano educational institutions: Cebu Normal University-Medellin (CNU-M) and Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA)-Curva Extension Campus. The event was held at the CNU-M covered court and attended by 871 beneficiaries, each of whom received Php 1,000.00 in financial aid.

The financial aid was provided through a partnership with DSWD Region 7 and was intended to help students with their academic endeavors. This type of help is especially advantageous to students from low-income households who struggle to pay for their education.

Congresswoman Salimbangon offered her support for the youngsters and encouraged them to excel in their studies. She also stressed the value of education in achieving success for both individuals and their families. She reminded them that their efforts in school would make not only their parents proud, but also herself as the mother of Cebu’s 4th District.

Congresswoman Salimbangon, CNU-M Campus Director Donna Grace Cotejo, and SSC Adviser Joebert Padata organized an invigorating dancing session prior to monetary assistance distribution. The program also included a spontaneous questioning session in which Congresswoman Salimbangon asked kids random questions and gave them the opportunity to win cash prizes. This game gave a fun and participatory element to the event, allowing the students to demonstrate their knowledge and talents.

CNU-Medellin extended gratitude to Congresswoman Janice Z. Salimbangon for her ongoing support of numerous educational institutions, communities, and organizations. Her efforts have had a huge impact on the lives of many students, providing them with the support they need to achieve their academic goals. The event was a huge success, and the kids departed feeling motivated and inspired to pursue their studies.
