As a formal recognition of the association’s registration as the negotiating body for Cebu Normal University (CNU) employees, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region VII turned over the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) Certificate of Registration to the officers of CNU-FAI on June 16.
Received by SUC President III Dr. Laurence L. Garcia, together with the CNU-FAI officers, the turnover of the certificate of registration marks the formal recognition of FAI as an accredited union that can therefore enter into agreements with the university’s board of regents.
With the official registration of CNU-FAI, relations between management and employees are further strengthened through a formal mechanism for dialogue and negotiation on workplace concerns and employee welfare.
Led by CSC R7 Director Ma. Victoria Gabud and Supervising Human Resource Specialist Ms. Cynthia Castanares, the fficial turnover took place during the kickoff ceremony of the 124th Founding Anniversary at the Idea and Knowledge Center.
