Cebu Normal University (CNU) and Winning English Academy (WEA) — represented by Mr. Malcolm Liang and Ms. Hannah Silva — alongside Taiwanese principals and school owners held a productive meeting last 1 December 2023 to explore potential pathways for collaboration.

The discussions focused on a Sit-In Class Program in CNU for Taiwanese elementary students, a Teacher’s English Training in CNU for Taiwanese teachers, as well as an exchange program for CNU Faculty in Taiwan. These proposals were aimed to be conducted during summer or winter. The significance of a possible virtual student internship and demonstrations were also discussed. Both parties expressed excitement in this cooperation. CNU was represented by Dr. Rufina Rosaroso, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Internationalization, Dr. Nancy Cadosales, the Supervisor of the Integrated Laboratory School, and IZN Focal Persons, Dr. Jollibee Aharul and Dr. Jennifer Gonzales.

CNU strives in its cooperative efforts for strategic internationalization with international partners. The openness of the academic units, which allows the University to forge meaningful links across international borders, further supports this commitment.
