JUCEL A. JALUAGUE, PhD-CI
A passionate researcher with a Ph.D. in Education, majoring in Curriculum and Instruction, from the University of San Carlos, earned through a CHED scholarship in 2022. She serves as a faculty member of the Kinesthetics Department under the College of Culture, Arts, and Sports at Cebu Normal University, where she formerly held the position of Department Chair. She specializes in physical education pedagogy, movement education, curriculum innovation, and the preservation of Philippine Traditional Dances. Her academic and professional work is grounded in thematic analysis and qualitative research, with a focus on dismantling barriers in Physical Education, promoting functional fitness, and advocating for active aging.
With decades of experience in advancing pedagogical theory, she has authored and co-authored several scholarly publications that explore critical aspects of education. Her research includes studies on the impact of educational settings on teacher development, students’ physical capabilities, and the well-being of learners participating in online dance courses. Through her scholarly and community- based engagements, she continuously contributes to enhancing educational practices and championing inclusive, holistic approaches in the field of physical education.
