What was once an event geared towards re-experiencing graduate students’ avenue to escape hefty loads of paperwork has finally made a comeback.
To flourish friendship and foundation, the Graduate School Students Organization (GRASSO) of Cebu Normal University (CNU) brought back GRASSO Day 2019 in various spaces of the university such as Samuel MacClintock (SM) Hall, CNU Inner Court, and Integrated Laboratory School Stage, yesterday.
Despite their active academic priorities, postgraduate students managed to laud the event and fortify the theme “Adlaw sa Kalingawan, Panaghigalaay ug Panaghiusa”.
In an interview with Ang Suga, Hon. Angelito Cabanilla, GRASSO President, shared that the event had been discontinued last 2017 and 2018 due to busy schedules of the former officers.
After the short program in the morning, the participants played Larong Pinoy without associating themselves with their respective departments.
Cabanilla said, “Lisod man god itapok ang students, so among paagi na lang is amo na lang gihatagan og freedom ang BPED (Bachelor of Physical Education) students sa undergraduate nga silay magbuot, wala nay college, wala nay department. Bisag kinsa lay mangapil.”
Meanwhile, the amusement radiated during the afternoon session as board games such as scrabble and chess preceded in SM Hall.
Active sports like volleyball and badminton happened at CNU Inner Court and ILS Stage.
Students from the Bachelor of Physical Education, under their organization Physical Education Majors Organization (PEMO), facilitated all the games.
Hon.
