The Cebu Normal University (CNU)–Medellin Campus held its end-of-semester graduation ceremony this afternoon for 195 students who successfully completed the National Service Training Program–Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) at the Medellin Sports Complex.

The students who received their certificates of completion came from the Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, BS Tourism Management–Sustainable Tourism Management, and BS Tourism Management–Tourism, Hospitality, and Sustainability Management programs.

In his inspirational message, CNU President Dr. Laurence Garcia commended the graduates for their resilience, especially amid the natural calamities that affected communities in 2025.

Despite those challenges, you remain standing. That resilience alone already speaks of the kind of generation our nation needs today, so you should be proud of yourselves,” he said.

Dr. Garcia also reminded the completers that finishing the NSTP-CWTS program goes beyond fulfilling an academic requirement, emphasizing its deeper significance in serving society.

Service is no longer just an academic requirement,” he said. “It is a response to the needs of communities recovering from disaster and loss. Leadership is not measured by titles or recognition, but by the willingness to step forward and help others even when you yourself are struggling,” he added.

The ceremony was also attended by CWTS-NSTP Director Deofel Balijon, Campus Director Dr. Chrysler Cabusa, and other university officials.

Padayon, CNU!
