Cebu Normal University took part in the recently concluded academic and cultural exchange program, FACE IT, hosted by Universitas Brawijaya’s Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM UB).
The program, designed for international students interested in Information Technology, offered a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
The program, which kicked off in September and will conclude in November 2024, covers a variety of topics, including data-driven decision-making, data visualization, and AI applications.
Participants from around the world had the opportunity to learn from expert faculty, engage in hands-on projects, and explore the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia.
One of the participants, Rossangellie Mae Goles from CNU’s College of Teacher Education (CTE), expressed her enthusiasm for the program.
“FACE IT was an incredible experience. I not only gained valuable technical skills but also had the chance to meet people from different cultures,” Goles said.
Dr. Jennifer D. Paño, a faculty member from CNU’s College of Teacher Education, accompanied Ms. Goles. CNU, along with other institutions, such as the University of Southern Philippines, Lyceum of the Philippines-Batangas, DEBESMSCAT-Masbate, Ifugao State University, and Sacred Heart School, represented the Philippines at this event.
This participation aligns with Cebu Normal University’s I-SHINE internationalization strategy, which focuses on Strategic Partnerships, Holistic Development, Innovations in Education, Network Expansion, and Excellence in Research, Extension, and Global Citizenship.
By participating in international programs, such as FACE IT, CNU continues to expand its global reach and offer its students international exposure to cutting-edge technology and diverse cultural experiences.
This initiative is also part of the university’s drive to provide holistic development opportunities for its students, enabling them to become globally competitive educators and professionals. –𝗖𝗡𝗨 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻/𝗞𝗤𝗗
