Cebu Normal University took part in the 5th Education USA University Fair at a hotel in Cebu City yesterday.
It was the largest fair organized in the city with 33 participating U.S. colleges and universities, according to the website of the US Embassy in the Philippines.
The activity provided CNU delegates with insights into international academic opportunities and potential collaborations.
The event featured discussions on scholarship programs, faculty and student exchanges, and pathways for studying in the United States. All of these are very significant in advancing CNU’s internationalization goals.
“This fair opens new doors for partnerships and global academic exchanges, which align perfectly with our commitment to broadening international opportunities for our faculty and students,” said Internationalization Director Dr.Janet Mananay who led the CNU team.
Mananay was accompanied by Internationalization (IZN) chairs from various CNU campuses and colleges, including Dr. Jennifer Gonzales (ILS), Prof. Rhona Noquiao (College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences), Prof. Carren Derasin (College of Culture, Arts and Sports), Prof. Roseher Tampus (Balamban Campus), and Dr. Maricel Rivera (Medellin Campus) and Internationalization staff, Keith Calope.
The IZN chairs expressed optimism about the connections made during the fair, which align with CNU’s Internationalization I-SHINE strategy of fostering global partnerships and enhancing international engagement across the university. –𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲/𝐊𝐐𝐃
