DR. JOSEPH SOL T. GALLEON

DR. JOSEPH SOL T. GALLEON is currently the OIC-Director for External Affairs and Partnerships of Cebu Normal University.  Formerly, he was the Presidential Assistant for Alumni Affairs. His advocacies include Environment Protection and Sustainability, being a member of the Green Ambassadors of the Philippines; and the education and protection of the rights of children with special needs, being a Graduate Studies’ faculty for Special Education at the College of Teacher Education. He is a faculty member of the College of Culture, Arts and Sports under the Department of Literature and Languages. He obtained his doctorate in Educational Management and in Literature and Communication at CNU and earned his master’s degree in educational technology at the University of Cebu and master’s degree in special education major in Mental Retardation at CNU.  His baccalaureate degree of Arts in Philosophy and English-Literature was obtained from San Carlos Seminary College.  He is a licensed professional teacher in the field of English-Literature. His services rendered in the university varies from Training, Educational Leadership as former Associate Dean for the School of the Arts, Chairperson of English Studies and Other Languages, and Campus Director of CNU Medellin Campus, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Planning and Development, Alumni Affairs, and External Affairs and Partnerships. He has been a research mentor and member of the panel of examinees for thesis and dissertations in the former College of Arts and Sciences and in the College of Teacher Education. He has been an experienced coach and judge to various Arts activities.  His hobbies of collecting paintings, plants, and other forms of Artworks contributed much to his drive for peace of mind.
