Deofel Padoña-Balijon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2005 at Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City Bohol, and a Master of Arts in Teaching Computer Science in 2011. In 2008, he obtained his Diploma in Professional Education (DPE) and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers. He has also earned units in Doctor of Public Administration at Cebu Normal University.

Mr. Balijon was employed by the University of San Carlos, Talamban Campus as a full-time faculty member of the Computer Science department and designated as the computer laboratory manager from 2011-2013.

Under the Math and ICT Department, he taught full-time at Cebu Normal University – Main Campus from 2013 to 2016. He was also a former full-time faculty member of Eastern Visayas State University, Main Campus, Tacloban City, Leyte assigned to the College of Engineering, particularly in the Information Technology Department. At both national and international conferences, he has presented his research and had articles published in peer-reviewed journals.

Presently, he is occupying the position of Information Technology Officer I and is designated as the OIC Director of the Information and Communication Technology Unit of Cebu Normal University.
