Currently a faculty member at Cebu Normal University, teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She holds the rank of Associate Professor V. She is the current Chairperson of the Liberal Education Department at the College of Culture, Arts & Sports. She also served as Chairperson of the Filipino Department at CNU during the periods 2007–2009, 2010–2013, and 2017–2018. She was the Assistant Director of the Panrehiyong Sentro sa Wikang Filipino (PSWF) from 2012 to 2019. She is a researcher and translator at the Sentro sa Wika at Kultura (SWaK). She also serves as a LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers) reviewer in various review training centers across the Visayas and Mindanao. She has worked with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) as an Accreditor. She has been a speaker at various local, regional and national trainings and seminars. Resource speaker of K to 12 Program during the Mass Training of Grade 7, 8, 9, and 10. A translator and writer, author and co-author of books in Filipino and in major academic subjects. An adviser and panelist of thesis and dissertation writing in graduate level. Her research has been published in various national-level publications and journals and has been presented at regional, national, and international conferences.

She represents Region 7 and serves as a co-organizer, co-convenor, consultant and contributor for the books VERBO: Ang Kapangyarihan ng Tula, First and Second Edition and VERBO 3: When Words Become Verses / Mga Katagang Naging Taludtod, and also PADAYON book: Mga Kwento ng Pakikipagsapalaran 1 & 2 where published national and  international by Mindshapers Co. Inc. She is currently the Vice President for the Visayas of the Kapisanan ng mga Filipinong Awtor at Manunulat ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KAFAMPI); the Regional Director of the Samahan ng mga Guro at iba pang Propesyonal sa Wika, Inc. (SAGIP-WIKA); she is also the Secretary of Bigkis at Alyansa ng mga Nagtataguyod ng Wikang Filipino, Inc. (BANWIFIL); and a member of various other associations and organizations.

She graduated from Cebu Normal University with a degree of Bachelor in Secondary Education, Major in Filipino (2001), earned her Master’s degree in Filipino Language Teaching (2006), and completed her Doctor of Education in Filipino Language Teaching (2019).
