As part of the Cebu Normal University’s Balik Eskwela, the members of the CNU Academic Council were formally introduced to the freshmen and transferee students during the university-wide orientation at the Idea and Knowledge Center.

Clad in academic regalia, each member of the council–composed of college deans, directors, and key university officials–was introduced along with their roles, reinforcing the university’s commitment to transparency, leadership visibility and student engagement.

The presentation aimed to help new students become familiar with the university’s leadership and the offices that will play a vital role in their academic journey.

One of the highlights of the program was the conduct of the 2nd Special Academic Council Meeting.

Presented and tackled during the special session were six agenda, such as the design of Latin honors’ medal, the design of the presidential medallion, the designs of the diploma and TOR holders, the academic calendar, the Memorandum Circular No. 38, and the Memorandum Circular No. 42.

CNU President Dr. Daniel Ariaso, Sr. emphasized the council’s commitment to student development.

“We are in session as academic council and we present to you the members so you know who are responsible for your academic journey,” he said.

The president urged anew the new students to “study hard” as licensure topnotchers will get bigger cash incentives of up to P200,000.
