#CNUPride | CNU-Main climbs to 81st in Top 400 innovative universities worldwide; external campuses secure spots in Top 400
Three campuses of Cebu Normal University (CNU) have earned global recognitions, securing spots in the Top 400 Innovative Universities in the recently released World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).
CNU Main Campus ranked 81st, while CNU Medellin and CNU Balamban placed 193rd and 384th, respectively.
It can be recalled that CNU placed 95th in last year’s rankings.
CNU also made it to the Top 100 in the Student Support and Engagement category (A1) with the Main Campus ranked 80th, while Medellin at 88th, and Balamban at 94th.
Further highlighting CNU’s excellence, CNU Medellin ranked 28th in the Entrepreneurial Spirit category (A4), showcasing the campus’s commitment to innovation and enterprise development.
In the Ethics and Integrity category (A6), CNU Main Campus placed 40th among the Top 87 institutions worldwide—demonstrating its dedication to upholding moral and ethical standards in higher education.
Under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-based Responses to Global Challenges category (A8), CNU-Medellin ranked 93rd, and notably, 42nd under the University Brand and Reputation category (B8) Top 80.
The WURI evaluates higher education institutions based on their real-world impact, contributions to society and industry, and their ability to foster innovation, ethical leadership, and sustainable solutions.
The university’s Office for Internationalization and its former director, Dr. Janet Mananay, played a role in this newest milestone by facilitating the CNU’s WURI applications.
