The College of Teacher Education of Cebu Normal University covers within its umbrella the flagship programs of the university. The undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Science in Education (BSEd) with varying fields of concentration and specialization. In their fourth year, the students spend one semester in the CNU- Integrated Laboratory School for intensive Student Teaching. The college also offers Diploma for Professional Education (DPE) and graduate studies programs both in the Masters and Doctorate levels.

The CNU-CTE is named as Center of Training (COT) and Center of Development (COD) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). It is also Level IV-accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), the first and only in the Philippines.

3rd International (4th national) Teacher Education Student Conference (TEStCon)
Crossing borders brought changes and challenges to higher education and to many aspects of our lives that removed barriers among cities and countries across the world. Research plays a critical role in facing these challenges as it enhances the overall quality of education. It promotes better understanding of the impact of change and cultural exchange and in facing the emerging needs of the country through innovations and technology. In this connection, Cebu Normal university College of Teacher Education would like to invite you and your students to participate in the 3rd International (4th national) Teacher Education Student Conference (TEStCon). This conference will gather students both in the graduate and undergraduate degree programs and researchers of other regions throughout the world to share their research findings and experiences. This will be held on February 20, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines 6000.

Research plays a critical role in facing the challenges of this globally interconnected world as it enhances the overall quality of education, promotes innovations and facilitates better understanding of the impact of change brought about by advancement in technology. In this connection, Cebu Normal University College of Teacher Education would like to invite you and your students to participate in the 2nd international (3rd national) Teacher Education Student Conference (TEStCon). This research conference will gather students in the graduate and undergraduate degree programs and researchers of other regions throughout the world to share their research findings and experiences. CNU HOLDS RESEARCH CONGRESS 2013

September 30 – Cebu Normal University held its annual University Research Congress at Samuel MacClintock Hall with the theme, “Philippine Higher Education Research Focus for ASEAN-2015: Mobility, Portability, Quality and ASEAN Research Clusters.” The congress was participated in by more than 500 students.

The program started with an invocation and was followed by the opening remarks of Dr. Bibiana T. Isok, Vice-President for Academic Affairs. The keynote speaker was Dr. Roberto N. Padua, former commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education and the university’s research consultant. Dr. Angel C. Alcala, Chairman, Board of Advisers from Silliman University Angelo King Center for Research and Environmental Management also talked about Research Directions in 2015 and beyond. The plenary session in the morning ended with an input on Internationalization and International Publication by Dr. Allan B. de Guzman, Professor of Education and Research from the University of Sto.
